Default Union locket buckle

Can anyone ID this union locket buckle please . I accept that it might be a mismatch , and that the lion face centre may not belong with the Prince of Wales outer .

To my untrained eye the male and female end look to be from 2 different belt buckles.

No they do seem to be actual military pieces , but are severely battered and in a dug up state ... however the rendition of that lion is appalling I agree
