Default Help required finding Prisoner-Of-War

I'm researching a prisoner-of-war but i'm getting nowhere and taught that someone out there is more successful than i am. I probably have his sons medals (since i collect medals too) and therefore trying to join the dots. I've tried using Comite International Geneve web-site; https://grandeguerre.icrc.org but again no luck.

Would appreciate if anyone could guide me as to where I could search further, or any other help that may be.

Name; Spiridione Rapinett (Fireman). Ship torpedoed sometime around end September early October as he was reported as POW on 8th October 1917 in Brandenburg Germany. He was picked up at sea by a German ship and imprisoned with a fellow seaman.

Thank you all in advance.
Vincent
