Style C CEF type badge, according to Charlton's "Corps Badges", but he doesn't even list a bi-metal version. Certainly far from common, I'd guess.

Welcome to the Forum Cineflikers. It's always a good idea to intro yourself to the Forum if you're new.
Re your badge, I've never seen one either, the tangs look odd though. As the rare CEF artillery badges have all been repro'd, I'm suspicious. I think it's one of those badges you have to have in your hand to examine before you say Yes. It occurred to me as well that the design is based on UK patterns, which does not include a bi-metal variant so I'm still not convinced it's legit. Maybe one of those repro's from the 80's. There are collectors who focus on artillery badges so I'm sure they will be able to give you more guidance. Greg |

Arttillery badge
Hi Folks, the badge was mounted on a board along with many others from WWI and removed by me, all looked mounted post WWI by a Veteran of the war there was many years of grim on the piece, I don't know much about badges but you can't fake the overall patina on the board and badges, the badges came from an estate
thanks

Hello Bruno, Interesting badge. Do you have the dimensions? The fasteners appear to be a shallow U shape, or is that just the image?
Could you post images of the other badges from the board?

Are they lugs or broken blades? The blades seem to be the typical fasteners for these variety (numbered depot battery) of badges.

It might be worth imaging them in groups of 10 or so. There could be some unusual badges in the lot.

Could very well be an officer's ??? Looks to have had tangs no reason for this to be a fake! If you can provide me with the width measurement of the tangs we can rule that out. Also a picture of the badge showing the bi metal overlay would be good! Cheers Rob
