Default Drake Battalion Petty Officer

H All,

I've decided to have an attempt at colouring a photo, only the second time I've tried so it isn't brilliant but I'm wondering about the naval badge on his left arm.

Is red the right colour and if so how bright would it be? I'm also wondering about the tombstone it's on. At the moment I've just ignored it, would it be black / dark blue like I've seen re-enactors on the web wearing or some other colour?

Thanks for the help,

Michael

Smile RND cloth anchor

Michael, I think you have got a reasonable match, there was black thread used in the crown and the anchors as you can see on my badge.

So they did use a khaki background as well! Thank goodness because I'm really struggling to get the navy on without it looking very false.

Thanks a lot Rob
