Default Triumph Motorcycles

Hi Gents,

Earlier this year I purchased a new Triumph motorcycle and recently this got me thinking. Did Triumph Motorcycles have any specific home front badges?

My copy of 'Doing Their Bit' is packed in a box somewhere, so can some kind soul have a look for me?

I know many factors had specific civil home front units of one kind or another but can't recall seeing anything specific to Triumph. Any info greatly appreciated.

Cheerio,

Roy

Roy,

Have looked in Doing Their Bit but can't find any specific Triumph Motorcycles related badges - either ARP or On War Service. That does not mean that they didn't have any just that if they did they have yet to surface.

Thanks for that Jon,

At least you saved me a morning digging through boxes trying to find my book.

Cheers,

Roy

I've not seen any badges either.

The Triumph factory was very badly damaged in the Coventry Blitz, they then moved to Meriden via a temporary factory in Warwick so they probably had other priorities. I don't know what other war work they took on either, apart from the motorcycles and I think some generator sets?

Hi Mike

I don't think that a Harley gets a mention in the Bible !!

Cheers Phil.
