Default 2nd Tank Bn CEF

Well... Congrats to this bidder! Just walked away with a 2nd Tank Bn collar dog! I guess there are some badges out there...just a matter of finding them!

Default CEF 2 Batt

Ha, I bid on that and lost, congrats, a rare piece for sure.

That 1 Batt. collar that was made into a cap badge he was selling has always been a puzzle, I don't think it was actually used. I have seen it come up before.

The 1st Bn collar made with a slider is a phony that has come onto the market a few years ago. It is a bogus badge.

May be my poor choice in wording, but I was congratulating whoever the winner was. Looking back at my post it looks like I won it when in fact I lost on the bidding as well.

The 2nd Tank collar now joins the other I have, along with the cap badge that has been discussed on this forum in the past.

As for the 'phony' 1st Bn collar on a slider, I accept that unless there is any photographic proof of it having been worn as suggested (a 'substitute' cap badge), then there will always be doubts about its authenticity. Nonetheless, it also joins the other Tank Bn badges I have acquired over the years as part of my ever-growing CEF collection.
