Default Royal Engineer Pathfinders

Thought I would show you this little gem I just received in the post from bess55. Thanks Sean.
It is a unofficial patch worn by 23 Engr Regt para recce attached to the pathfinders of 5 AB under the smock collar. They are hoping to get it authorised by the Dress committee.

Sorry, too much xmas sprit and thinking about my days with 5 AB. Yeah should be 16, As I said it is unofficial and worn concealed under the collar. Maybe when/if authorized it will be in Royal Engineer colours..... Tongue in cheek

23 Engr Regt have a small reconnaissance unit, attached to pathfinders. Someone realised that for a proper 'engineer Recce assessment on an air landing zone, best you actually use trained engineers. These wings are unofficial - but I am told they may well be working on it- I wouldn't be holding my breath. I have no idea if they wear the pathfinders DZ flash or their own.

I came into a handful of these on my travels - sold the excess here.
