An Indonesian Beret Badge.
Can any one tell me which unit wears / wore this badge please?
It's about 2 1/2" - 3" in diameter and (unpolished) is copper coloured. |

Hi this badge is supposedly the insignia of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, thiught the proportions of the anchor and the chain seems to differ than the commonly seen design.

Thanks, so not to a specific unit although the colour of the beret indicates unit or at least arm?
I'm fairly confident that the badge and beret are genuine and not a marriage, probably dating from around the 1990's - 2000. |

Indonesian Army beret colour :
Red - Army Special Forces Commandos ("Kopassus") including Para-Commandos.

Thanks, I'd had it noted as Kopassus but an image in another thread on the forum a few years ago showed Kopassus wearing a different badge, I was wondering if this one is more of a "general service" type badge.

Its definitely not the Kopassus badge - some kind of attached arm?

Could be, I don't know what what attached arms etiquette would be in terms of wearing of headgear or insignia or which units would wear that badge.

A better shot of the badge:

A poor quality image of the individual who wore the beret as a trophy.
