Canadian Victorian collar badge?
Hello!
A friend of mine found this metal detecting in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I’ve never personally seen one of this construction with this crown and I can’t seem to find any information online. The makers mark is also elaborately spot soldered as a separate piece on the reverse so this makes me think this is either unit/company/division specific or Victorian in age. Any information would be appreciated as I’m stumped on what to tell him and my impression was that the maple leaf became emblematic of Canada during WWI. Thanks!
