The first looks like Murray of Atholl; used by Transvaal Scottish. The second MacDuff; used of Highland and Lowland RCT I believe. Don’t know if still used.

Default Rct tartan

Have looked up 153/4 highland/lowland tartan, but it is different, although I can see why you thought it was.

You could be right, but I think the single vertical black line could be a fault or pulled thread. Take that away and I think the tartan is Macduff. I’ve looked through pattern books but could not find that exact pattern.

The Tartan used by the Scottish RCT TA and today by the RLC Reserves is the Red McDuff Tartan.

Worn on the point by 153 Highland Transport Regiment RCT and Scottish Transport Regiment RLC

and square by 154 Lowland Transport Regiment RCT

The Tartan is also used by the pipers of the Royal Logistic Corps and Queens Own Gurkha Logistics Regiment.
