Hello Sean
That was a good spot - the Iraq Levies badge (it seems to be), my identification was based on the shoulder title and assumed the hat badge naturally followed. I'm now a little less certain whether my id is correct as I can't find a place called Mihran/Mibran and if it's a photographer, the name Mihran seems to be associated with Persia/Iran and Asia Minor.

So I don't know now.

Steve

You appear to have misread the shoulder title which is KRR for Kings Royal Rifle Corps not KAR, so he must be on attachment to the Iraq Levies from the KRRC which is unusual as I believe they were administered by the RAF at this period.
Cheers, Michael

His shoulder titles are KRR not KAR, for Kings Royal Rifle Corps, presumably on attachment to the Iraq Levies
Cheers,
Michael
