RAF PATCH and others
Hello , I recently brought this RAF Instructors patch and the other 2 came with it. Can you ID them please? The 2nd batch is silver bullion wreath on a very dark blue or black backing. The other is quite possibly a overseas patch.
Sorry about the colour but my filter seems to have cut in. Thanks. Jerry

The first is not RAF but Civil Defence I believe. I have examples in the same colour and a light, near white.
The second badge isn't RAF and looks more like an unfinished badge to me. The last seems rough and hand made, maybe theatre made? It doesn't correspond with any RAF badge I can think of. |

Isn't the first badge a Civil Defence Corps Instructors Badges? (It came in 3 colours: Gold / Silver / Blue and you have the latter).

The first badge is a Civil Defence Instructor's badge (also seen in grey thread and yellow thread - silver and gold), more info here: https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=58741
The second badge looks to be a 'Millar Badge', which was an ambulance qualification badge, yours as worn by Ambulance Members of St John Ambulance Brigade (badge No B40901). George |

Thanks for your replies. I was led to believe that the 1st patch was RAF, now I know it is not. Did not think about Ambulance service for the 2nd. As for the 3rd ???
