Default Liverpool city police

A little over loved( polished) so it's lost some detail and I think the damage to the cross happened during production, but I'm not bothered about any of that. I think it's still a good badge and I've been looking for one for a while without success, so I had to have it.

You can't really polish away chrome plating. If you did it would uncover the base metal. I would suggest that this badge has originally been manufactured and worn as a white metal badge. During the course of operational use, the wearer has polished the badge and has removed some definition from it. Post 1935, the badge has been chrome plated, as was common at that time.
