RFC Insignia?
Hi Chaps,
Just picked up a lovely image of a couple of RFC chaps. See the enlargement; sergeant strips and Royal Flying Corps shoulder title but what is that just about the strips? It looks like some insignia to me but would be interested if someone recognizes it. Or is it just my eyes? Cheers, Roy

I tried enhancing the photo and I'm still not completely certain there's something there.
But if so, it would likely be the four bladed propeller worn by flight sergeants. |

Hi Roy
According to this site he appears to be wearing a plain 4-bladed propeller as a sergeant or, if the propeller has a star-boss, as a flight sergeant. http://www.britairforce.com/rfc_1.htm Hope this helps Graham
