Default Royal Perthshire Militia Button

Hi Gents,

So I'm sharing this lovely Royal Perthshire Militia button from a recent find. It's always special to get an example from Scotland as I have s few.

A heavily domed early gilt example by I Nutting Covent Garden. I'm unsure of the date but expect it to be early, somewhere between 1800 and 1840. An help narrowing this date down is greatly appreciated?

Cheers,

Roy
