Default A Curious Case

I was watching this one with interest
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2241wt_1167
or should I say morbid curiosity. Unless I miss my guess, it's pretty clearly an OSD collar that was de-lugged and given a brooch fitting at some point, then later had a slider fitted. I wouldn't have bought it, firstly as I don't collect OSD items and secondly as I would classify it as damaged (twice over). Still, six people gave it a go, which begs the question, how many thought it was a "real" TF Lancashire Fusiliers cap badge? Or is a single OSD TF collar in poor condition worth GBP 24?

I dont quite get it either. I do collect OSD, but this one would not interest me. It is a scarce badge, but the fixings have been modified once too many for me, to say nothing about the worn condition of the obverse.
