Default Liverpool University OTC modern rank slides - full set ?

I now think I might have examples of all the modern Liverpool University OTC rank slides ( happy to be proved wrong ).

My understanding ( and any more information gratefully received ) is that the earliest slides in the picture were the ones with sold white rectangles ( black on DPM ). Those with the white rectangle edged in blue or red showed 2nd and 3rd year cadets (?)

The current slides with white lines above the unit initials in black are:

One strip - year 1, also known as MOD1
Two stripes- year 2, also known as MOD 2
Three stripes- year 3, also known as MOD3 ( was used for platoon sergeant in the past ).

The slides with an Austrian knot and lines in white with black initials below are

Austrian Knot and one line - JUO
Austrian Knot and two lines -SUO
Austrian Knot and three lines - Non commissioned platoon commander.

P.B.

Default UNIVERSITY OTC RANK SLIDES

Hi Peter, Would you know if all the University OTC's use the same 9 rank slides as you show? but obviously with the relevant University name underneath. I am thinking about QUEENS University ones in particular. regards john

John,

I am sorry I don't know, I hope another member may be able to answer your question.

Peter

The answer is not in the past. Some have in the past worn far fewer rank slide types. They may well be standardised now they are under RMAS but in the past they were different as not all wore rank slides for MTQ qualifications or NCO ranks.

Here is a link to my OTC rank slide album. There are examples from most UOTCs.
