Hi

I have a wide range of poppies including a rather delicate one that has a label on the "stem" that has some mention of the BL. Also got an old enamel Australian pin back that is even maker-marked.

All came in one lot that had been put together some years back by someone with a clear commitment to the Poppy Appeal.

Happy to post some pics if there is interest. Yes, I KNOW I'm always saying this....

I remember them being made from wire with a metal centre to hold them together like NRM''s

Great poppy ,only ever seen photo on "Poppy Timeline" site.

These were made 1942-1944.

A couple of Haig Fund poppies found this morning at a local car boot sale, not in the best condition but looking at the Poppy Timeline website they appear to date from the 1930's.

Although one is a bit worse for wear they are very nice and agree that they are probably 1930 - 1935.

I'd rather have an old 'worn' poppy than one of the modern repro/tribute ones the RBL is selling.

Agree with you, I'll stick with originals despite condition.
