It was October 2009 when we came up with the idea of a tactical recognition flash (a badge worn on the arm to identify the regiment). The CCF staff and Mr Jones gave their approval and we were away. The brilliant staff at Tolley Badges ensured we got our flash made quickly and to a very high standard, our thanks to them.

The badge incorporates themes from the Army, RAF and the school, to represent the various diversifications of the Old Swinford Cadet Force. The whole process has been a great success, and the badges should be sewn onto every uniform in the not too distant future, by the massively helpful laundry staff to whom we are really grateful.
