Default Gordon Highlanders - Maker: Anderson

I bought this badge recently, I like it but opinions welcome.

A very nice officer's badge. Andersons were not the makers of the badge but the retailers. 8th Foot showed a similarly marked badge to the Liverpool Scottish a while ago.
Officer's had to buy their own kit and would go to a regimtally approved tailor. The tailor would have a stock of badges from the manufacturer and put - or had put - their own "labels" on the item.

Thanks KLR for the info, I didn't realise they were just the retailer.
