Pristeen RACD voided - Jennens
Title should read pristeen ' predictive text bah!
Picked up the two badges in the image, happy enough with the silver one. Is the voided one British as KK 974 or Australian as has been suggested to me, are the lugs an issue and is the Jennens maker Mark correct Thanks Paul Last edited by Paul Spellman; 18-10-16 at 07:44 AM. |

Hi PAUL
I'm not sure I like the voided badge. Sorry but something not right to me but it's not Australian. I would say British. Bc |

Thanks David,
Glad to know it's genuine and got it with no positive ID so worth the risk. Paul |

Isn't the jennens Mark the same as the fake slider marked badges doing the rounds over the last couple of years along with suttle Cambridge.

It's not one I like, the finish looks like spray paint around the lugs. :/ I'm always wary though of pristine blackened badges. I don't like the cut of the crown either or the fact the sides have been left unfinished. I'm not the biggest fan of C&T Either (a local auction house, if its the one at TW), their last offering was liberally sprinkled with copies and misdescriptions.

Thanks for the further replies.
Having looked in the Maker Marks section, the dubious example with the same mark on the slider leads me to think it is not correct, I am under the impression Jennens never made ORs badges as that one shown and I was not aware there was also a dubious Co dot London for Jennens When I first looked at it I thought it was plastic, thankfully I was not ripped off in any way as the seller himself was not sure and it's cost was irrelevant. I suppose nothing ventured nothing gained and it won't appear anywhere again. Paul |

Paul re my post The point I was making was that the badge was British if COLIN CHURCHILL was correct in his identification of collar badges
