Default An original British V Force cap beret badge?

Hello all,
I saw this, bid on it and won it.I hope that this is authentic.Sellers' photos.

Here is a portion of the sellers' description:

"This auction is for an original cap badge for the V Force in South East Asia during WW2. It is a hollow back metal stamped badge with the tab attached. very highly detailed.
This is 100% original period made and not a modern reproduction."

Thanks for any help with this.

Not even close sorry

Check the ones out on buywyze and chairborne websites. If they don't look like that (generally speaking) they're not good.

Where to start? Bad signs - rounded bottom to slider, text of "force", shape of "V", lack of points on F-S knives and so on...

I agree I'm afraid,

This looks like one of the common fakes out there.

Roy.

I was just looking about online and found this one described as authentic.
It has the rounded slider bottom, blunt knives and generally resembles mine.
Would this one be considered a copy as well?

Thanks

Another example of one that is not correct.

Look at how fat and rounded the blades on the F-S knives are with little definition.

Roy.

Just the use of the word "original" in the description alone is a good enough reason to send it back!

Haha don't bid on my stuff then because I quite often use the words "period genuine."

Hello Peter,
I am very confident that if I bought a badge from you, it would be the real thing!
Kind regards Frank
