Default Video of NZSAS Sqn - Malaya

Folks,

This link might interest some. It has video footage of the NZSAS Sqn in Malaya, with some nice close-ups of insignia worn by the OC and other troopers while in camp.

Very interesting bit of film. The insignia shots were good.

I noticed that the air drop crew members were not strapped in with safety harness while sliding out the para drop supplies.

Thanks for the link

Default NZ SAS

Friends,

In the book Regular Soldier by Frank Rennie, commanding the NZ SAS Squadron at the time, you can find pictures from the same briefing.

Very nice detailed pics of the insignia.

See some scans.

Cheers,

Johan

nice photo of Earle Yandle in dress whites. He was a Territorial Force guy. One of the "originals" and like me of Samoan descent.
