Bullion badges
Would appreciate anyone positively identifying these 2 pieces, of presumably British origin - such as time frame, order of dress, etc.
The Field Marshal's insignia is 1 1/2" dia. The crown may be KC or flat-topped Victorian. It is on dk blue backing and I have a hunch it may be Police. I believe it to be an individual rank crown and not separated from a badge. Apologies for partial blurring of image. Thanks, GTB |

Bullion badges
I think both of these are police. The crossed batons are worn by Chief Constables, Assistant and Deputy Chief Constables, Commissioners, Commanders etc, together with a combination of pips and crowns.
I thought the General's badge was a crossed baton and sword. The crown when worn on its own is the rank badge of a Supt, and a Ch Supt when a pip is added. Stephen. |
