Do you happen to know if the gold PJI badge was ever produced with a less shiny finish?

Yes - I believe there are 2 versions of the gold badge.

Have you seen the not-so-shiny type? I only have the very reflective gold badge in my collection.

I can only remember the second and third from the top being worn.

The 'antiqued' gold version was introduced at the same time as the antique copper version.
They were all meant to complement the existing antique silver badge. A small number were manufactured and the decision was then made to change to the shiny version. Much to the disgust of those then working in DMO!
