Rejected East Anglian Brigade Shoulder Title

Just a brief one this...

...came across this rejected design for the East Anglian Brigade metal shoulder title whilst rummaging around at Kew. The final design was of course the curved pattern.

I thought it was interesting to note that the initial propsal for the straight pattern would have meant that the lugs would have been affixed asymmetrically, as outlined in the accompanying letter.
