Opinions please on this RFC Royal Flying Corps badge with slider

Just received this RFC Royal Flying Corps badge with slider. My understanding is that they do exist with slider but are uncommon. This one is slightly domed. The slider appears to have been soldered on and not spot welded which I would think is a good thing. Thoughts? Ron
