Default Colonial Police Insignia - poss Northern Rhod. Police

Hi All, I recently acquired this small lot of colonial police items. I would like to think they are Northern Rhodesian Police but I don not know what other colonial police used that may be similar - The pips are a lot bigger than others I have seen - Does anyone have an ideas please - Thanks Wayne

Default Colonial Police Insignia

Salus Populi was the motto of The Colonial Police Service as a whole,it was also used on the insignia of some Colonial Police Forces ie The Kenya Police. You will note the red cushions to the Crown on the CP's insignia, some Forces used Crowns with blue cushions i.e. Hong Kong/Royal Hong Kong.

Hi 1314, Yes sorry I forgot to mention the rank name and structure was incorrect. Have you any copies of Nkhwazi magazine perhaps? I understand a few may have had images of insignia in them. Thanks Wayne
