Default Hallmarked Gaunt badge

Hi,

Did gaunt ever make hallmarked silver badges with copper/brass lugs or silver plated lugs?

Thanks in advance

They definitely made sterling badges with copper lugs so I suppose there may be hallmarked examples too.
Cheers,
Alex

I certainly is overpriced, as are most all hallmarked badges in my opinion.

...the true 17th Lancer mottos 1898-20, to me, are the most valuable. Be they Officers or Other Ranks. The Hallmark is the positive (and valuable) key to indicate that period. The makers mark.... J&Co and B&P being the most desired. I have yet to see a Firmin made Officers Cap Motto from that period BTW...... Gaunt yes..... but still no Firmin.

Thank you for the link it’s really helpful, is there something like this for every type of badge as it’s a massive help to a novice? And thank you for the additional information too, appreciate it. It’s expanded my knowledge
Thanks

...here you go... https://www.paoyeomanry.org.uk/Motto/MottoMainMenu.htm

Additions are added to the website when they are found

This is for the Leicestershire Yeomanry https://www.paoyeomanry.org.uk/LYMenuCapBadge.htm

You will have to hunt around for other Regiments, I know that others have done what I have done for their regiments.... its just a matter of finding them

I would not be happy with that, I would expect to see rather short lugs in thick silver wire.
