Worn by Metropolitan Police civilian security officers. It was also the first cap badge used by the Anguilla Police Force during the period following the island's break away from St. Kitts & Nevis in the 1960's.

Interesting, I've never heard of Metropolitan Police civilian security officers, what is their function (I know there's a clue in the word "security"), do they have duties at locations such as the H of P?

Also worn by Jersey Prison Officers in the 1980's.

No, their duties are (or used to be) in and around Scotland Yard and at other MPS buildings.

I've seen this badge worn by security personel at the gates to Scotland Yard and also the entrance to the building.

It was the "front door" worn by the staff on the "airport like" security when you enter the building to sign in.
