GARRISON/DISTRICT PATCHES
Hello, I am trying to make a small collection of GARRISON/DISTRICT PATCHES etc (if any exist) that I served in with the Royal Engineers 1969 to 1993.
Can you help and/or point me in the right direction please? Jerry,
With the exception of the 9 Para Sqn DZ flash I don’t think you will find many. This is because by 1969 few cloth formation badges were being worn and the issue of dpm combat dress in 1970/1971 resulted in an order that with very few exceptions none should be worn. That situation remained generally until Gulf War 1 and the Balkan deployments in the 1990s when Formation Badges and Tactical Recognition Flashes began to proliferate! Tim
