The type of eagle in your pic is a Candian WWII pattern. It is similar in design to the earlier eagles but is on a greenish rayon background, whereas the earlier versions were on a heavy khaki cotton background.

Dave has it spot on. The two are very similar, and unless experience the differences are only really noticeable if you have both types together. This one is definitely a Canadian issue WW2
