I was informed that we have until 2026 to complete the transition to CIIIR badges, where did the 8 years information come form ?

An official document:
“Transitioning the Army’s Dress to the Kings Devices.
All Army dress and accoutrements will change to reflect the new King’s devices – Tudor crown and Cypher. The Army have allowed eight years for the transition to occur and will centrally control the transition.”


From another source:

There are more than 1,500 separate items to be produced including cap and collar badges, rank badges and buttons.

Interesting but I don’t think it will take anything like that amount of time. I’m pretty confident that the army doesn’t hold sufficient stocks of badges to allow for eight years of usage …..
