unknown WW1 formation patch (battle patch)
I would be most grateful if any insights on what this battle / formation patch could be?
Shown in black and grey, but presumably was in colour. In use circa 1919. |

It’s as you say a 1919 Army of Occupation patch. I’ll see if I can find any more information about it

Here we are - some information from a previous thread on the subject https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=39799
It indicates Southern Division of BAOR, with a blue semi-circle over a coloured bar (for brigade) and a series of 1, 2 or 3 discs/dots underneath for battalion. Orange bar evidently for Warwickshire Brigade. It would be interesting to know the other colours for other brigades/regiments. |
