Default NZ Onward query

Hi all

Could anyone confirm the Onward badge below right as a WW1 or WW2 era badge?

The one on the left is from my collection, and has been confirmed as WW2-era.
The one on the right I'm not sure about?
Any opinions appreciated!!

Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin,
Both your badges are WW2 era.
Cheers, Tinto

Hi Colin, for WW1 I think you need to get this pattern.

Hi Colin, and Simon,
As well as the "EXPEDITIONARY FORCE" Reinforcement badges of several patterns, there were also "ONWARD" badges worn during WW1.

In attached image, the first two (from left) are of WW1 vintage, the third (has Gaunt tablet on back) was on a belt of WW1 badges and is presumed to be of WW1 vintage, and the fourth on the right is of WW2 vintage.

Cheers, Tinto

Default Onward and Onward

Input needed on my Onward lot.
My thoughts from left are
WW1 WW2? WW2 WW2
As the second one has the same lug setup as the first, would the NZ font (serif) be a sign of WW2
The first badge on the left would be a clear first world war Onward?, or am I wrong.

Cheers
Corey
