Default RAAF bullion hat badge

Hello,

Would this be a WW2 RAAF bullion hat badge?

Approximate measurements

Length = 61mm

Width = 57mm

Height = 12mm (thickest at the crown)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Invest

Many thanks Doug,

That's more information than I would know, as I'm not an Air Force collector myself.

Cheers,

This officer's Service Dress cap badge could be also be worn by RAF, RCAF, RNZAF, etc. personnel (all had black backing). If it had a dark blue backing I would then consider it RAAF worn only.
Regardless, it is a cracking cap badge & I would tend to think it is an earlier WW2 type or as already stated by seageagle25, slightly earlier again.

Best regards,
David
