NORMASH insignia - help!
Not sure if this should go in the authentication forum, but here goes:
Can anyone tell me whether this insignia is NORMASH or not and whether it dates from the Korean War? There was an article on the subject in the Society of Military Insignia Collectors journal Vol. LVIII, No. 2, (1999) but I can't seem to find it online. Any help would be much appreciated! Many thanks! BP

To me it looks too modern in style of manufacture to date back to the early 1950s. Could it be a more recent generic Norwegian title/sign to be worn on Army uniform?

Having done more research, it seems to be the bog-standard Norwegian UN badge (pre 1980s apparently) so I agree that this one is unlikely to be Korean.
Best wishes, BP

Norwegian nationality insignia
This is a more likely variation that could have been used by NORMASH in Korea. The one shown above is from the early 80s until (1951-92) it was changed to another design, because of the resemblance to a crusader shield.
