Default NZ Kiwi cloth badge

From the Kiwi, I assume that this is from NZ, but can anyone identify which formation / unit wore or wears it. It is a printed badge.

Hi John,
Thanks for the link. It appears to be the same badge, but facing the other way, so possibly it was worn as a pair, one on each arm, facing forwards. I will append the notes, as I don't know when this was worn.
Fred

Only worn as pairs by NZ Army members posted to HQ NZ Force South East Asia and Force Units. If posted to 1RNZIR, the Kiwi patch was only worn on the right shoulder.

Worn on short sleeve Dacron shirts. The printed badges (issue) were generally worn by 1RNZIR with a red diamond worn on left sleeve. The embroidered badges (tailor made) were generally worn by other units based in Singapore (NZ Force SEA). It was a long time ago but I think a lot depended upon which tailor you used. Dieppe Barracks had its own tailor who serviced 1 RNZIR and a few tucker f....ers.

I had shirts with both versions of the badges having served in both 1RNZIR and NZMP Unit, unfortunately my mother threw them all out 25+ years ago. I did manage to keep a small collection of badges.

I am guessing NZ Dacron wings are probably quite rare now, especially the top set shown in the attachment
