6th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders Sweetheart or Association

Hi all. Picked up this handsome badge related to the 6th Seaforth Highlanders. I am assuming that it dates from c. WW1. Does anyone know if this was a sweetheart or an association badge. Many thanks in advance.
