Indian Insignia on Trench Art Lighter?
Hi all. Picked this lighter up today and to me the badge looks Indian? There is what appears to be an Arabic coin of some sort on top, so possibly related to service in the Middle East. Any thoughts on the badge would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I'm not sure it's Indian. I thought at first that figure might be the Lion of Judah from Ethiopian insignia but it's not the same. It looks like a lion holding a sword with a sun behind it and that is an Persian, later Iranian, symbol. So, my guess is that it represents the place where the lighter was made rather than the unit of the buyer.

My first thought was Ethiopian but I wasn't sure enough to suggest it until somebody else did.......

Thanks for the help chaps. I could have been banging my head against a wall for a while on that one! So likely a souvenir piece rather than trench art.
