2nd Armoured Car Regiment hat badge - 1930 to 42
2nd Armoured Car Regiment hat badge - 1930 to 42
The 2nd Armoured Car Regiment was formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 1938 as a Citizen Military Force (CMF) unit and recruited from the Sydney metropolitan area. In May 1942, it became the 2nd Australian Army Tank Battalion. |

Certainly not the image I expaected to see. Being a Canadian collector, I was expecting to see the winged wheel of the Canadian 2nd Armoured Car Regiment. Very nice looking badge all the same.

It's also quite a rare badge - you don't see many of them around these days.

I believe both the 1st and 2nd Armoured Car Regiments wore the same Armoured Car Trade badge on their sleeves.
