NCO seaforth highlanders glengarry
I have a question abouth a glengarry I have reastablish. It's a dark bleu glen with a red torry. On the front is the 3-D seaforth Hignlanders two picese badge(one anthler is broken off)marker LUDLOW LONDON. But insted of the crown and L, I found only some remains of a bleu hackle feathers(on the photo is a new replaced old hackle), and ther are now other hols wher good be a lugs from the crown and L. M'n question is did the Canadians wher in WW1 or 2 the bleu hackle, or is that only Empire?

This would not be Seaforth Highlanders of Canada as the only hackle worn was on the feather bonnet and that was white.
I believe the blue hackle was worn by The Queen 's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Cameron) as it was a Camerons' distinction. Phil |
