Default New Insignia Book

There is a new Insignia book on the market, the book is called Badges and Insignia of the Royal Army Service Corps, Royal Corps of Transport and their Predecessors by David M Kellock and Michael C McHenry.

The book has 91 pages full of information and photos, of the Army Service Corps etc... There are some excellent pictures of the rare shoulder titles, early helmets and a good section of cap badges.
The book has plenty of information well worth purchasing for anybodys library.

Published by David M Kellock and Michael C McHenry.
ISBN Number 9780955876714

I wouldn't mind having one at all, but what's the story with this book, as it doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere.
Is there a publishers (e-mail) adress?

Seems to be the way these days, Publishers "previewing" books well in advance of them being published. I've been after a copy of 'Glider Pilots at Arnhem' since it first appeared on Amazon well over a year ago. The first publish date was around July 2008, it's now set for the 31st August 2009.

Cheers,

Kev C

I have it from one of the authors that you can now pre-order the GPR book at a substantial discount at Pen & Sword.
It should be out end of August.

I wonder.... would you be able to put me in touch with the author you spoke to? I have the feeling there is a book just bursting to get out of me about the KDG and Bays; I would value their adivice....

David Kellock is a well known member of the Military Heraldry Society and attends the annual meeting at Holmes Chapel in Cheshire.

He used to contribute on a regular basis to the Crown Imperial magazine.

The situation might remind some people about the publication of Colin Churchills book on collar badges,it was " due to be published shortly " for a period of about 3 years and I think I ordered my copy from Ray Westlake about 2 years before it finally appeared in print.

I have a book coming out in November that was originally coming out about 5 years ago !!!! (not about badges though). Journal articles take ages too, the longest I've had to wait was about 4 years.
