Complete novice saying hello.
ok,My names Andy,im from somerset.I,m interested in The Great War and have decided to try and collect badges from this era.I know nothing of badge collecting and have joined this forum to learn the art of badge collecting.I would like to know which reference books to buy and where are good places to start looking for original badges at reasonable prices.I have brought one badge off an online dealer but after reading about that badge im thinking i should have joined before buying.
All the best Andy |

Hello Andy and welcome,
There are a lot of dealers out there selling rubbish and making a living out of doing so but I believe you can still buy genuine WW1 line infantry badges at reasonable prices if you are prepared to look hard and not buy the first badges you see. Lots of information here to help you find genuine items. P.B.

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum.
Take your time in buying the badges, take advice in respect of them from the knowledgable members on here, take a look at the albums on here and I'm sure you'll soon start building a good collection. Regards Brian |
