recognition after 66 years
Hello .I have tried for many years to contact soldiers from my old company.I was one of the boy soldiers and my first station was Saskatoon Sask, then Woodstock Ont for driving training ,the Hamilton Ont for more training.
Hopefully there are a few of us left out there and will remember those camps. I did not know of this web site untiltoday when I clicked it looking for info on the hat badge I wore. I did read that a couple of members were discussing that particular badge . When I got mine it was free and now the are scarce ,i understand. How the world has changed! I hope someone will read this thread and contact me. Verne |

Unit?
Welcome to the forum Verne, your post alludes to your unit but you don't mention it by name? What Corps/Regiment were you in??

We were in training and moving from camp to camp for different segments of our training and we weren't organized into a specific corp . Our understanding was that after training we would be sent to different regiments and attached to what ever units they thought need us ie drivers electricians etc. Our future was very much up in the air at that time .
