I have inherited these 2 plates. I cannot find anything on their dates or values, I am not selling them, and are helmet plates and shako plates the same thing. Sorry if this is ignorant but I am still new to this and cannot find the answer. Thank you all.[ATTACH]Royal Marines (1).jpg[/ATTACH]

Hi
The Royal Marines Light Infantry other ranks helmet plate is a good one (the Staffs HP also looks right but I will leave to others to confirm). The RMLI badge was in use from approx 1878 to 1901/2. They do crop up occasionally and you can usually get them for approx £75 to £100 on eBay but up to about £150 from a dealer (assuming the rear fixings are original and intact. Paddy |

Thank you for that , they are all original and in good order. My father collected most of his badges from the early 1940's until mid 1970's.
