Manchester Regiment A/A
More help wanted.
In eBay there is an anodised aluminium silver Manchester Regiment with slider stamped "Smith & Wright Ltd". I would like confirmation please that S & W manufactured this badge. Thank you Ian |

Ian, both examples are not particularly uncommon but tend to hold their price.
There are anodised collars too, for your info. All the best Bess |

Bess, thank you for the information. This particular A/A badge seems to be one of those that commands a higher price. One recently went for £45 from an online dealer.
Best regards, Ian |

They are certainly £30-35 at auction. One of the harder pre 1970s infantry to find. I suspect that many have been discarded by people who did not know what it was. Mine I bought in a Cardiff arcade for £5 in an odds and ends box in a medal dealers shop.

Happy to say that I was the winning bidder for the Manchester Regiment A/A by S&W. And I got it for a reasonable price. Thank you all for your info.
Best regards Ian |

Just had in several bags of a/a badges from a closed army depot in Wales. Bag full of Manchester Smith and Wright badges in amongst the lot. Did not realise they were so well sought after, assumed 3 or 4 ponds each. A very pleasant surprise!!
