Default 8th Battalion Leeds Rifles PWO West Yorkshire Regiment

I recently bought a number of badges as I was after a white metal 7th/8th PWO Yorkshires badge.

With it came this 8th Bn one which as soon as I saw the void under the crown was dubious about. The back with its distinctive slider shape and yeellow metal suggests that it is an early 1970's "Morrison" cap badge. They are not being made with the sliders any more - but different blackened lugged 8th fakes are on ebay in abundance which appear to be from the same die.

I enclose a photo of what I believe to be a genuine one for comparison.

I also show an ebay offer which has the same void and missing '.' at the end of the 'P.W.O'
