Royal Engineers Shoulder Title - Can it be dated?

Hi All,

I'm trying to frame up a relative's WW2 medals and wondered if this shoulder title is correct to put with them.

Is it possible to say if this is a WW2 title?

Yes it is the correct WW2 pattern, but depending on your relatives period of service the printed ones may be more appropriate as these were standard issue unlike the embroidered ones.

He served from early 1940 right through the war so I might try putting a pair of brass ones, a pair of slip on ones and then a pair of cloth ones but use this one and a printed one I have.

I'll try laying it out and see how it looks, I don't want it to look cluttered.
