Default Royal Sussex Terrier?

Based on the shoulder title which appears to have a detached 'T' (last image), I'm pretty certain this photograph is of a Royal Sussex 'terrier'.

Is 1927 a bit late for this unit to have been wearing these; and if not, when might the demise of the 'T'-type titles realistically have come into effect?

With thanks as always,
